We also strongly recommend practicing awareness and presence on the LED Bed during each treatment to significantly enhance your visits, as both the treatment room and the treatment itself help promote a meditative experience. We encourage you to ask staff for tips and recommendations if you have limited experience with meditation.

Be Spa uses LightStim FDA Cleared Equipment (LED Bed and LED Facial Panel), the best equipment in the industry. LightStim LED Bed utilizes 18,240 clinical grade LEDs. (5x the Industry Standard). Patented MultiWave Technology emits 4 different concurrent wavelenths of light, each focusing on a different area of the dermis and sub-dermis. Optical Grade Acrylic to reduce distortion of light. 
 
Proximity of LEDs to body cannot be more than a a few centimeters from the skin to maximize the light's penetration through the body. Other RLT beds do not allow for this and use far less LEDs.

How should I prepare for my first LED/Red Light Therapy treatment?
We recommend arriving with clean skin before your treatment to maximize absorption of the lightAvoid applying lotions, moisturizers, and other skin products, prior to your treatment. Remove any jewelry and piercings. 

If it is your first visit to Be Spa, you must check-in at least 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This is to complete paperwork, and to receive instructions and recommendations before your treatment. If you are late for check-in, you will NOT be able to participate. All treatments start promptly on a fixed schedule.
 

I'm pregnant. Can I do LED/Red Light Therapy?
No. Do not participate in a LED/Red Light Therapy treatment if you are pregnant.

What are some other common contraindications?
A photo-allergy of any kind, sensitivity to light, taking any medication that causes light sensitivity (such as Tetracycline), any eye condition that is vulnerable to damage by light, use of steroids or cortisone injections, healing disorders, open wounds, low blood pressure, use of blood thinners, use of nitrates, active carcinoma, malignant tissue, undergoing chemotherapy, a recent surgery or procedure involving the use of any laser technology. Always consult your physician.
