How often you use an infrared sauna should be determined by your personal needs and goals. We generally recommend at least one infrared sauna session per week to achieve optimal results. If your goal is to lose weight, we generally recommend at least two infrared sauna sessions per week.
We also strongly recommend practicing awareness and presence in the infrared sauna to significantly enhance your visits, as the sauna helps promote a relaxing experience to relieve stress. We encourage you to ask staff for tips and recommendations if you have limited experience with meditation, or listen to a guided meditation during your session.

How many people can occupy a Private Infrared Sauna Suite?
Your private infrared sauna room should comfortably accommodate 1-2 additional guests (2-3 total participants). We only charge $25 for each additional guest. Please ask a rep for assistance.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
We recommend bringing/wearing breathable attire, or comfortable athletic wear – to be worn after your sauna session, as your body will still be perspiring post-sauna as you continue to cool down. Some clients prefer wearing a swimsuit during their session. Some prefer their birthday suit. We should have everything else you need.
How should I prepare for my first Infrared Sauna treatment?
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Although perspiration and high temperatures are key to your infrared sauna treatment, it is very important to stay hydrated before, during, and after each session. We have a curated selection of healthy, hydrating beverages that may be purchased in the lobby, or we can provide complimentary filtered water. (Each year Be Spa donates a portion of all beverage and merchandise profits to The Jed Foundation, the nation's leading organization dedicated to young adult mental health and suicide prevention).
Remove any makeup, oils, creams, lotions, and other skin products. You will take a light shower before entering the sauna. We also recommend eating a light to moderate snack, 1 to 2 hours before your sweat therapy session.
You must check-in at least 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This is to complete paperwork, receive instructions and recommendations before your treatment, and to take a light shower/rinse before entering the sauna. If you are late for check-in, you will NOT be able to participate. All treatments start promptly on a fixed schedule in consideration of other guests.
I'm pregnant. Can I do Infrared Sauna?
No. Do not participate in an Infrared Sauna treatment if you are pregnant.
What are some other common contraindications?
Individuals with cardiovascular conditions or problems, congestive heart failure, impaired coronary circulation, or those who are taking medications which might affect blood pressure. If you are using any prescription medication, or have an existing medical condition, or using a pacemaker or defibrillator, please consult with your physician. Other contraindications include various chronic conditions including Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Central Nervous System Tumors, Lupus, Diabetes with Neuropathy, a recent joint injury (should not be heated for the first 48-72 hours after injury or until the hot and swollen symptoms subside), metal pins, rods, artificial joints or any other surgical implants in the body, pregnancy, being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, elderly people. Always consult your physician.
